Adding a new POS Item

Step 1: Initiate the process

3 ways to achieve add an item to Box POS System

  • Scan a new item directly from the POS

  • Scan a new item from the catalogue page

  • Click “Add” on the catalogue page

Step 2:
Enter the mandatory info

  • product name

  • GTIN

    • leave it as “new” for to auto generate a custom GTIN

    • If you know the 12 digit UPC, please prepend two 00’s to it so it’s 14 numbers

  • Selling cost

    • the price you want to sell

  • NOTE: the selling cost might NOT be the final price if you have pricing strategy set. Please select “force manual” option to override the pricing strategy. Please refer to this link for more details on the pricing strategy.

Step 3:

click “Update” to save
